Carmencita C. Dabu – Founder/Managing Partner
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the Manuel L. Quezon University in 1978 and 1982, respectively, where she was an Academic Scholar. She passed the 1982 Bar Examinations and was formally admitted to the Bar in 1983. She is also a licensed Real Estate Broker. She worked full time as Managing Partner of the firm in 2004 and has, since then, represented the firm’s clients before administrative, judicial and quasi-judicial tribunals. Her areas of practice include civil, criminal, administrative, tax and corporate litigation, tax and estate planning, general and special corporate and commercial services to the firm’s clients. She has also been appointed by several clients as their Corporate Secretary.
Prior to establishing the firm, she served the Social Security System as a litigation lawyer from July 1983 to December 1986. She was appointed Revenue Legal Counselor of the Bureau of Internal Revenue from January 1987 to 1989 and became Chief of the Litigation Unit, BIR Manila in 1990. She also worked as Assistant Corporate Attorney and Hearing Officer at the Home Insurance Guaranty Corporation. She was the retained counsel of Ingasco, Inc. from April 1991 to 1996. She was appointed as Technical Assistant to the Chairman of the Special Committee on Tax and Custom Cases under the Office of the President from March 2010 to June 2010.
She is, at present, teaching at the Manuel L. Quezon University College of Law and Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Law. She used to teach at the Unibersidad de Manila, New Era University College of Law and Bulacan State University (Malolos) College of Law.
Mary Christine C. Dabu-Pepito, CCO – Partner
She took up Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, where she graduated in 2006 with the distinction of cum laude. In 2007, she studied Bachelor of Laws at the San Beda College (now University), Manila. She graduated in 2011 and passed the Bar Examinations held in the same year. She was formally admitted to the Bar in 2012. Her areas of practice include civil, family, commercial, criminal and labor litigation, as well as general and special corporate and commercial services for firm’s retainers and clients. She represents clients before administrative, judicial, and quasi-judicial tribunals as well as in their corporate or commercial transactions. She has also been appointed by several clients as their Corporate Secretary, Assistant Corporate Secretary, or Compliance Officer, respectively. She is also a Certified Compliance Officer, having earned her certification last April 2022.
She worked as an Associate Lawyer at Dulay Pagunsan and Ty Law Offices from April 2012 up to May 2013. She joined the firm in June 2013 as an Associate Lawyer and was promoted to Partner in March 2016.
